Group decision-making based on concepts of ideal and anti-ideal points in a fuzzy environment

چکیده
Decision-making problems (location selection) often involve a complex decision-making process in which multiple requirements and uncertain conditions have to be taken into consideration simultaneously. In evaluating the suitability of alternatives, quantitative/qualitative assessments are often required to deal with uncertainty, subjectiveness and imprecise data, which are best represented with fuzzy data. This paper presents a new method of analysis of multicriteria based on the incorporated efficient fuzzy model and concepts of positive ideal and negative ideal points to solve decision-making problems with multi-judges and multicriteria in real-life situations. As a result, effective decisions can be made on the basis of consistent evaluation results. Finally, this paper uses a numerical example of location selection to demonstrate the applicability of this method, with its simplicity in both concept and computation. The results show that this method can be implemented as an effective decision aid in selecting location or decision-making problems. c © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Evaluating Construction Projects by a New Group Decision-Making Model Based on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Logic Concepts
Select an appropriate project is a main key for contractors to increase their profits. In practice, in this area the uncertainty and imprecise of the involved parameters is so high. Therefore, considering fuzzy sets theory to deal with uncertainly is more appreciate. The aim of this paper is present a multi-criteria group decision-making model under an intuitionistic fuzzy set environment. Henc...
متن کاملA Compromise Decision-Making Model Based on TOPSIS and VIKOR for Multi-Objective Large- Scale Nonlinear Programming Problems with A Block Angular Structure under Fuzzy Environment
This paper proposes a compromise model, based on a new method, to solve the multiobjectivelarge scale linear programming (MOLSLP) problems with block angular structureinvolving fuzzy parameters. The problem involves fuzzy parameters in the objectivefunctions and constraints. In this compromise programming method, two concepts areconsidered simultaneously. First of them is that the optimal alter...

متن کاملIdeal and anti-ideal decision making units: A fuzzy DEA approach
In this paper, by introducing two virtual decision-making units (DMUs) called ideal DMU (IDMU) and anti-ideal DMU (ADMU) with fuzzy inputs-outputs, the efficiency evaluation of DMUs are done by fuzzy data envelopment analysis (FDEA). Therefore, we evaluate DMUs from the perspective of the best and worst possible relative efficiency. For each DMU two efficiencies are calculated while inputs and ...
متن کاملA Multi-Criteria Analysis Model under an Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Environment with an Application to Production Project Decision Problems
Using Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) to solve complicated decisions often includes uncertainty, which could be tackled by utilizing the fuzzy sets theory. Type-2 fuzzy sets consider more uncertainty than type-1 fuzzy sets. These fuzzy sets provide more degrees of freedom to illustrate the uncertainty and fuzziness in real-world production projects. In this paper, a new multi-criteria ana...
